Quality and Purity Standards

Purity is the claim every research chemical vendor makes and the one most of them document least. This page sets out exactly what we publish, what we can evidence on request, and where the limits are.

What is published on every listing

  • Chemical name and, where applicable, a synonym set
  • IUPAC name
  • Molecular formula
  • Molar mass
  • CAS registry number where one is assigned
  • Salt or physical form — hydrochloride, fumarate, citrate, powder, crystal

That set exists so a compound can be identified and checked against primary literature without a request. Methyl-K is published as CAS 952016-78-3, formula C13H19NO2, molar mass 221.30 g/mol, synonym MBDP. MDPM is published as C12H15NO3, 221.256 g/mol, synonym 3,4-Methylenedioxyphenmetrazine. You can check both against a reference before spending anything.

What is available on request

  • Batch certificate of analysis where the manufacturing partner issues one
  • Batch-specific assay figures
  • Sourcing origin for a given line

Request these before ordering, quoting compound and tier, through the contact page. Requesting after dispatch is possible but slower, and for a batch already in transit there may be nothing further to obtain.

Where the honest limits are

No in-house laboratory

We are a supplier, not an analytical lab. Compounds are sourced from vetted manufacturing partners against stated standards and the documentation travels with them. We do not run our own HPLC on every batch, and a page claiming otherwise would be marketing rather than fact.

Batch variation is real

Two batches of the same compound are not identical to the third decimal. Assay moves, trace solvent moves, particle size and crystal habit move. If your work depends on a specific figure, buy from one batch and hold it, rather than replenishing mid-study.

Specifications are indicative

Formula, mass and CAS are provided in good faith to support identification. They are not a substitute for your own verification where the application is reference-grade.

How the compounds are stored and packed

Stock is held sealed, dry, dark and at ambient temperature. Dispatch packing is discreet, sealed for transit and sized to the weight. Light- and moisture-sensitive lines are bagged before boxing.

Storage after receipt

Unless the listing says otherwise: sealed, dry, out of light, ambient. Hydrochloride and fumarate salts are generally more stable than free bases, which is one reason the salt form is stated prominently. Stability after opening depends on the compound and your handling, and it is your call how long you keep an opened tub.

What we will not claim

  • That a compound is pharmaceutical grade unless the batch certificate says so
  • That any compound is fit for human consumption
  • That a purity figure applies to a batch other than the one documented
